If you find it hard to understand, sometimes it’s just better not to.
And to be honest, it’s okay not to understand.
Sometimes, we only wish to understand because we are unable to let go of something,
unless we see a reason to do so.
Unless we like the reason. Unless we agree with the reason.
Unless we accept the reason for what it is.
The truth is, sometimes we struggle to let go,
because our mind knows the truth, but our heart is grappling with the reality of it all.
So, maybe it isn’t that we don’t understand.
We do.
The bigger question is, do you acknowledge and accept what has already been presented to you?
Sometimes, we only wish to understand because our lives have been run on almost 100% certainty,
so any uncertainty becomes a smudge on our glass windows.
A smudge we need to wipe away.
“I must understand, before I can let it go.
I must understand…”
But really, why?
Why does it matter for you to understand?
I just wish for you (and me) to embrace the fact that
we do not need to understand everything.
Freedom will come with more ease, when we can choose to let go of the need to understand everything.
Peace within our hearts will come closer, when we can choose to release the desire to figure everything out.
So, when you find yourself stuck,
thinking that in order to move on, you need to understand?
“Why does it matter for you to understand?”
“What happens even if you do?”
“Do you already understand, but you’re just unable to accept what’s reality?”
These are tough questions, because your answers to them
will deal you uncomfortable truths.
I still wish for you to ask yourself these questions, because
every bit of discomfort can reveal to you where healing can happen.
In order for you to take steps closer towards owning your sense of freedom and peace.
love,
val
